What's it called? NORTHERN LIGHTS
Where is it? Arctic Circle.
When is it? All year round, but September & March are your best chance of seeing them.
What is it? Solar wind passing the earth, creating dancing patterns in the sky.
Winters in the arctic are about as harsh as it gets, no daylight for months and relentless snow and ice. But wrap up and take a journey there and watch the sky become a dancing canvas of eerie, shifting, surreal bands of colour. If you're planning to go, we've got some great photography advice, some great images and video to give you a taster, pop in and warm your cockles until the winter breaks and the groundhog says it ok to come out. Stay toastie folks, it gets better.
Come join us at the Four Corners as we celebrate one the world's maddest events! Were you there last year? Send us your photos and we'll make you a star of the show! Are you going this year? Come along all week and we'll hopefully give you a taster of your trip!
